Alison McCarthy leads Amica Senior Lifestyles continuous improvement program as Director, Operations Optimization in an effort to create a best in class performance culture. She partners with Operation leaders and Residence teams to define and prioritize process improvement opportunities related to the implementation of standards, and cross-functional collaboration.
Alison has been working in the Amica Senior Lifestyles Resident Experience 4 years including as the Manager, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance. During this time, she has developed and supported a quality assurance program to ensure that risk awareness is embedded in the way we work. The results have been impressive, not only, for the optimization of operating standards within the residences, but also where our standards have been independently reviewed.
Prior to joining the Residence Experience Team at Amica Senior Lifestyles, Alison held numerous roles in retirement homes since 2013. Alison’s background in roles such as Resident Caregiver, Medication Caregiver, Activity and Volunteer Coordinator, Memory Care Coordinator and General Manager has provided her with a very broad perspective that has allows her to seamlessly weave between different areas of operations, and tailor her advice/support to meet the needs of the residences. In her 7 years at Amica Senior Lifestyles, Alison has won awards such as GM of the Year, Residence of the Year, Occupancy of the Year, Collaboration award, highest satisfaction score on the Support Office Survey, and most recently Leadership Award.
